Plaza Independencia or Independence Square is a Monumental square inaugurated in 1885 and dedicated to all civil and military Patriots, Peruvians and foreigners who have given their lives to build national independence, defending the Constitution and promoting the development of Callao. The square is located at the entrance of the Real Felipe Fortress
